The Scent Archive: From Field to Fragrance
Explore the aromatic crops grown at Silverbrook Manor and discover how plants move from field and harvest into finished sensory materials.
Led by Silverbrook’s Proprietress and sensory expert Mindy Yang, this working-farm workshop begins with seasonal Silverbrook botanicals. Guests will smell and examine plants at different stages—from fresh and dried material to infusions and early product-development studies—while learning how cultivation, harvest timing and preservation influence aroma.
Selected fragrances from Silverbrook’s private scent archive will be introduced as comparative references, helping participants recognize how botanical notes are interpreted and used in finished products.
We’ll document our observations through smelling and writing, then conclude by preparing a small sample to take home. Select seasonal farm products from our Farm Club Members will also be available for purchase.
Guided crop walk: 3:30–4:00 p.m.
Agricultural workshop: 4:00–5:00 p.m.
General registration: $50 per person
Farm Club members, children and seniors: $35 per person

This agricultural program is hosted to demonstrate, promote and support the development of botanical crops grown at Silverbrook Manor.
