Join us as we collect mature seed heads from Silverbrook Manor’s African marigolds, separate the seeds and evaluate them for next year’s crop. Participants will help clean, count, label and store seed while learning how crop selection influences color, vigor and continuity from one season to the next.

Walk alongside Silverbrook’s goats and learn how they contribute to the care of our working regenerative farm.

By invitation only.

Silverbrook Manor Farm Club Members are invited to help harvest goldenrod from designated Silverbrook growing areas, then learn how it is identified, cut, sorted, bundled and dried.

How does a farmer know when it is time to harvest?

Walk through Silverbrook’s active growing areas as we assess what is emerging, flowering, ripening or ready to gather. We’ll examine seasonal vegetables, herbs, flowers and other botanical crops while exploring how aroma, color, texture, flavor and plant condition help determine harvest readiness.

Featured crops and activities will change with the fields. Participants may help document observations or gather a small harvest when appropriate.

Explore the aromatic crops grown at Silverbrook Manor and discover how plants move from field and harvest into finished sensory materials.

This is a focused working session for farmers, growers, and small producers who want to translate what they’ve cultivated into products people understand, trust, and choose on a shelf, at a market, or online.

A little dirt, a little tea, and something quietly taking root.

There’s a brief moment in spring when the land offers itself freely—wild, vibrant, and gone before you know it. At Silverbrook Manor, we step into that window together.

We’ll walk the land and learn to recognize what’s rising now—wild onions, garlic, and tender nettles—plants that have fed people quietly for generations. You’ll harvest your own bundle, guided by season, intuition, and respect for the land.
