How does a farmer know when it is time to harvest?

Walk through Silverbrook’s active growing areas as we assess what is emerging, flowering, ripening or ready to gather. We’ll examine seasonal vegetables, herbs, flowers and other botanical crops while exploring how aroma, color, texture, flavor and plant condition help determine harvest readiness.

Featured crops and activities will change with the fields. Participants may help document observations or gather a small harvest when appropriate.
